Job Requirements – Sales Officer (Heavy Equipment Parts)

1.​ Required Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in sales of spare parts for heavy-duty machinery (Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Wheel Loaders, Generators, etc.)
  • Ability to identify parts using diagrams, serial numbers, or equipment model references
  • Familiar with key systems and components: engine, transmission, undercarriage, hydraulic, cooling, and electrical systems

2. Sales Skills & Business Acumen

  • Proven track record in B2B industrial sales or automotive equipment parts sales
  • Ability to prepare and follow up on quotations, invoices, and part inquiries
  • Skilled in negotiation, pricing, and relationship management
  • Strong understanding of logistics, order processing, and delivery coordination

3.​​ Communication & Customer Handling

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Swahili
  • Strong ability to engage with clients, understand their technical needs, and offer the right solutions
  • Confident in cold calling, client follow-ups, and technical support discussions

4. Soft Skills & Personal Traits

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Results-driven and target-oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork spirit and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment

5. Technology & Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and email communication

Job Requirements – Stock Controller

1.​ Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in inventory, warehouse, or stock control (experience in automotive or heavy equipment parts is a strong advantage).
  • Ability to identify, classify, and record spare parts (filters, GET, undercarriage, engine, electrical, hydraulic, etc.).
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP, stock control software) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting).
  • Familiar with stock cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and warehouse audits.

2. Core Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, and record all incoming stock deliveries against invoices/GRNs
  • Organize and maintain warehouse/store layout to ensure easy identification of parts.
  • Issue parts to sales or workshop teams, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels and prepare reorder alerts to avoid stock-outs.
  • Perform regular stock takes and reconcile discrepancies with finance/management.
  • Ensure stock is well-labeled (part numbers, descriptions, brands) and securely stored.

3.​​ Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording stock data.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying stock errors or discrepancies.
  • Effective communication to coordinate with sales, procurement, and workshop teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and accountability when managing company stock.

4. Soft Skills & Personal Traits

  • Organized, disciplined, and highly reliable.
  • Proactive with strong initiative to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.

5. Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Training in stock management or warehouse control is an added advantage.
